The Pentagon announced that Boeing had “been awarded a not-to-exceed $972,492,124 undefinitised contract action for four KC-46A aircraft for Israel”, to be completed by the end of 2026. Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz hailed the move as a “further proof of the [U.S.-Israel] alliance and the strategic relations… The refueling plans we are purchasing, along with the procurement of a new F-35 squadron, heavy transport helicopters, submarines and advanced armaments – will serve the IDF amid the enormous challenges, near and far, that are about to be faced”.
