As a Scoville Peace Fellow, Anna supports the U.S. Advocacy and Research Team, where she focuses on elevating Crisis Group’s policy recommendations to decision-makers in Washington, D.C.

Anna’s previous research has included assessing the role of civil society in peacebuilding, the gendered implications of conflict, technology as a tool in conflict mediation, and the way that militarisation impacts perceptions of national identity and security. She has won numerous awards and scholarships for her student leadership, writing, and human rights advocacy. Anna has worked closely with the United Nations in different capacities throughout her life, but most recently contributed to the UN Secretary General’s Innovation Lab, UNGP. Her work at the lab focused on the use of Artificial Intelligence in crisis prevention. Previously, Anna worked in the U.S. education sector, with an emphasis on teaching history and language. Anna holds a BA in Comparative Literature and Political Science from Queens College at the City University of New York and an MA in Human Rights from the Institute for the Study of Human Rights at Columbia University.
