CENTCOM announced that its “forces successfully destroyed eight uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAV) in Iranian-backed Houthi controlled areas of Yemen and over the Red Sea. Additionally, U.S. CENTCOM forces alongside UK Armed Forces conducted strikes against thirteen Houthi targets”. A Houthi military spokesperson reported dozens of casualties, while Iran’s diplomatic spokesperson condemned the strikes. The Houthis also claimed to have successfully targeted a U.S. aircraft carrier in retaliation, which the Pentagon denied.
