Crisis Group Role

As Crisis Group’s Development Coordinator, Karoline Gonzalez provides administrative coordination and operations support to the Chief Development Officer and the Development team, as well as the New York office, working closely with them to coordinate donor activities, organise events, maintain donor records and manage office operations.

Professional Background

Prior to joining Crisis Group, Karoline was the Communications and Marketing Fellow at The Fuller Project, the global newsroom dedicated to groundbreaking reporting that catalyses positive change for women. Here she provided administrative support to the communications and larger team, conducted in-depth research to help measure and track the impact of their journalism, performed research on donor prospects and prepared communication materials for the CEO’s use at board meetings and fundraising events. She was also a primary contributor in the production and maintenance of internal and external marketing materials.

Karoline graduated from Rutgers University-Newark with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Media Studies and a concentration in Social Justice. While at Rutgers, she was the copy editor of the university’s newspaper and was a research assistant across multiple departments. Previous internships included one at Project for Empty Space; a women-led, non-profit arts organisation dedicated to creating safe and equitable spaces for social discourse. There, she managed the coordination of events and exhibits advocating for the unification of the Newark community through public art initiatives; she also assisted in the curation and digitization of the Project for Empty Space Feminist Library
